About the lecture:
Xuzhou, as the hometown of the West and East Han Dynasty, was once the state of Chu and Pengcheng in the history. Around Xuzhou, there are 13 generations of King Chu and 5 generations of Pengcheng. The Tomb of King Hanpeng of Tushan, located on the north side of the Xuzhou Museum, is currently the only well-preserved tomb of the Eastern Han princes in Xuzhou. Since archeological excavations in 1970, precious cultural relics with important archeological value have been unearthed, such as silver satin jade clothes, copper pots decorated with birds and beasts, golden beast-shaped urns, and goose foot lamps. In this lecture, Director Geng Jianjun will introduce the history, excavation history, archeological results, and archeological work of Tushan Han Tombs in turn, as well as the history of grave theft.
Geng Jianjun, research librarian of Xuzhou Museum, director of archeology department, has the qualifications of personal excavation leader, and has been struggling for a long time in the archeological field. He is also a member of provincial and municipal cultural relics appraisal expert library, and has ever published more than 30 professional papers.
